The University of Alabama announced today it had sold out of its 12,000-ticket allotment to the PetroSun Independence Bowl.
There were some who wondered why the I-Bowl would want Alabama for a second consecutive year in its game.

With Colorado on the other side of the matchup, the I-Bowl's choice was between Alabama and South Carolina. Proximity being what it is, Alabama was a slam-dunk choice.
